5 Questions

1. Why am I doing this course?
Honestly, I am not the theoretical type of person. I dislike studying and revising for an exam because it seems so       formal and organized. I took up this course because I've always had an interest in drawing and comics.

2. What do I want from this course?
Initially I came into this course without knowing what was coming. I just thought to go with the flow and see what happens in this course. Surprisingly, every subjects this course offers is really interesting and since i have never studied the form of art in depth before, its a brand new experience for me. Now, I aim to understand the whole world of art and have knowledge about every design element.

3. What do I want to be doing in 5, 10, 20 years?
5 years - I would like to complete my degree course with satisfactory results. Before I enter the working world i will   take a few months of total resting. Having a chance to finally just rest your legs up after 3 years of study is really satisfying.

10 years - Though I will most probably be working by this age, I still hope to meet new people from around the world and go more in depth in my personal interest which is insect studies. I can't say much about marriage at this point of time, but I hope to be with my loved one and have children.

20 years - By this time, I will be exactly double my current age. Its hard to predict what I would be doing at this time but I would like to start travelling around the world to experience different cultures and weathers. Apart from discovering cultures, I intend to visit villages within huge forests to further investigate the life of insects.

4. What do I want to get from this class?
I hope to have a better understanding towards the past theories and events of arts. Although we do not use the past style of art in the modern days, it is still interesting to see the fundamentals of art.

5. Is History of Art & Design necessary for your large goals?
For most part, it is important to rely on the basics of art in order to advance to a higher level. However, now that today's art is all about being creative and the term "thinking outside" the box, I don't think i will use the theories of the history of art that often.
